Nightcafe - AI Art creator

NightCafe.studio is an AI art platform based in Australia that specializes in creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces using advanced AI technology. The platform is designed to showcase the latest advancements in AI-generated art and to provide a platform for artists and creators to explore new forms of creativity.

The site is pretty easy to use and you get 5 free credits when you join, and another 3 credits more when you check your inbox to get you into their gamification system.

The process for creating content is pretty easy.

  1. You select the option to 'Create' and then select what type of algorithm you want to apply - there are five options, including Dalle-2.

  2. Next you get a screen where you enter the prompt for the image you want to create. You can select additional prompt support from some predefined options - such as 'Artistic Portrait', 'Anime', 'Oil painting', etc.

  3. On this screen you can also upload a base image.

  4. Choose from other options including how many images to create, the aspect ratio and the quality of the image. As you make your selection you'll see a the cost in terms of credits.

  5. After about 5 to 15 seconds (depending on some of the setting you selected before and service load) you'll get a summary of your images.

And it's really that simple. You can select from the images produced and if there's one you like, you can increase the resolution for more credits.

There are three ways to get credits - a one time top up purchase, a monthly subscription or through the site's gamified elements.

The site's gamification system is relatively good. You get credits for logging in daily, for voting on the images in the daily challenge and then through engaging with the community. For example, if you take part in the daily challenge you can win credits if your image is voted in the top 20% for the day.

Summary

  • The site is easy to use. You'll be up and running in minutes and require no technical knowledge to make cool images.

  • The gamification is very effective. Take part, earn credit.

  • The cost is fairly good, but you'll find the image creation can be very addictive, so you'll burn through those credits in no time.

  • My only area of discomfort is the inclusion of art names in the predefined prompts. I can see why this is a red rag to the community who produced the original art but don't see any related earnings.
